Boulder, Colorado is served by the Denver International Airport. There are direct flights to Denver from most locations in the U.S. as well as a number of international airports.
Public Bus: A convenient, affordable way of getting to Boulder from the Denver Airport is the public bus operated by the Regional Transportation District (RTD).
Buses depart the transit center, which is down the escalator or elevator from the south end of the main terminal. Route AB1 serves Boulder and departs every 30–60 minutes (schedule); try to arrive at least 5 minutes early to buy tickets and have luggage loaded.
Before boarding, the bus driver will load luggage by destination stop. (If you're staying at the Embassy Suites or Hilton, we recommend getting off at the Broadway and Baseline stop and taking a short rideshare ride to the hotel.)
Bus tickets are $10 for adults and can be purchased at machines at the transit center or through a mobile app.
Rideshares: Uber and Lyft serve the Denver Airport; rates are typically $75–100.
Car rentals: This is a good option if you plan to spend time exploring the area surrounding Boulder. The drive from the airport to Boulder is typically 50–60 minutes.
IMPORTANT: Transportation to the wedding site will be by shuttle bus ONLY. Parking for guests will not be available at our home, and taxis and riseshares will not be able to transport guests. (Why?)
To get to our wedding, there will first be a gathering, starting at 1:30 PM, in the Foothills Room of the Embassy Suites by Hilton Boulder. Shuttle vans to the wedding will depart from there every 10–15 minutes starting at 2:00 PM.
Shuttle vans will depart the wedding site every 15 minutes from 8:30–9:15 PM. Guests wishing to stay after the shuttle service ends are welcome to use taxis or rideshares.
Why we're using shuttle vans: The last 700 m (0.45 miles) of road to our house is one lane. Guests taking separate vehicles will cause significant traffic congestion. As guests would be going toward our home - other vehicles will be simultaneously coming from our home. Guests would be delayed - as would drivers whose livelihoods depend on meeting riders quickly. Parking around the home is limited and reserved exclusively by vendors and staff who will make this event possible.
